I am not being overly dramatic when I say that direct TV saved my marriage. The one thing that my husband and I fight about is when I interrupt his ‘games.’ Football season used to be the worst for us, because he is a big Green Bay fan, and would get irritated when he would miss even one little part of the game. I try not to be too much of an annoyance, but one day my sister called to tell me that she was coming over for a surprise visit on Sunday, and I knew that there was a Packers game on. I also knew that my husband would absolutely refuse to miss the game to take my mom out to brunch. I guess I will never understand men, but what I CAN tell you probably saved us a huge argument was ordering Direct TV. Before I even told him that my mom was coming I went to directstartv.com and ordered recorded TV. It wasn’t even an argument with that gift attached to the news! Moving is probably one of the most frustrating events that anyone does. First you have to pack up all of your stuff into boxes. Typically you try to organize the boxes to make unpacking easier, but let’s be honest, it never helps. Then you have to turn off all of your utilities only to turn on all new utilities somewhere else. Needless to say, I am not excited about my upcoming move. I did find a nicer place and it is a much better location. I just don’t want to go through all the pain of moving. I am almost finished turning on the utilities. I just have the electricity left. I did find Texas Electricity Providers to provide a good rate. I guess there are a few things I can be excited about regarding my new place. The complex has a wonderful pool and a fabulous workout center. Once I get all my stuff unpacked, I know I am going to love it so much more than where I am. I am just dreading the process. Oh well, wish me luck!

For the longest time I just worked out of my basement doing my monograming and it was fine, that is, until I got featured in the local paper. Literally overnight my business doubled and I had more than enough work to do and not enough room to do it in! I rented a small commercial space to start but even that was too small after just a couple of months. I upgraded to the shop I’m in now and it’s been amazing – I love having clients come right in here and tell me what they’re looking for! I had to refinish all of the floors and get rid of the kitchen (it used to be a bakery) and go to total alarm systems to make sure all my things were safe at night. All in all the upgrades were totally worth it since I have ended up being here 10 or 12 hours a day ever since! Business is booming, though, so I can’t complain one bit and I absolutely love what I’m doing so it’s a win win!

I started watching "Big Love" about 4 years ago, it quickly became something that I just couldn't not watch when it was on. Big Love is the story of a growing and changing polygamist family run by the husband named Bill. He has 3 wives as of right now and they all have really different attitudes and views on things. From the first wife Barb who is pretty much the ruler of the roost to the middle wife Nicky who came out of a polygamist compound and has very tradional compound-ish style way of living, to lastly Margene who is by far the wild child, she used to be the babysitter for the first 2 wives kids until her and Bill fell in love and got married and had kids of thier own. Bill owns a chain of "superstores" and is very p! oliticaly involved as well as all his religious endevoures. This show is not for everyone I know, however if you give it time I think the series could suck anyone in pretty quickly. This is my favorite show and luckily enough I get it through my satelite tv from www.EXPERTSATELITE.com with my premium channels, if I couldn't get this through my satelite company I would probably switch companies to get it. Every Sunday I snuggle down on the couch and enjoy my absolute favorite show!

To Get Rich, Just Follow the Instructions

My little brain simply can't stop putting things into categories and seeking to find the patterns in life.

One of the many patterns I've noticed is that some people in the United States are much richer than others. We have a nation filled with opportunity: free education, easy investing, and cheap interest rates. And yet there's stunning financial inequality.

Disparity by the Numbers

According to my wonderful pal, Phil DeMuth, the top 1 percent of all wealth-holders in the U.S. own about 44 percent of the financial assets of the country, mostly in stocks and bonds. The top 10 percent own about 80 percent of the financial assets of the nation.

The top one-tenth of 1 percent of earners in the nation earn about as much as the bottom 40 percent. That is, about 130,000 high-income Americans earn as much as the bottom 120 million Americans combined.

To me, this is stunning -- almost frightening. But the real question it poses is, how did the ones at the top get there? Obviously, some do it through inheritance, and some have spectacular athletic or musical abilities. But what about the others? How did they get to the pinnacle of wealth?

Think First, Get Rich Later

I'll to offer some homely speculation. First, as the genius financial planner Ray Lucia would say, the first step is to have a plan to save. Without equilibrating assets and liabilities by accumulating lots of stocks, REITs, and cash, you won't get there

But I'm looking for something more basic here. How do you get the income to start saving meaningful sums?

Here's a clue: think. In 1996, when I started shooting "Win Ben Stein's Money," I was assigned a bodyguard named Yaniv. He was a former Israeli soldier, and as tough as old boots. We worked together happily for about 900 shows, and then we worked on "Star Search" together, after which we went our separate ways.

Occasionally, Yaniv would help me set up electronics equipment. He always did a great job because he read the instructions and then followed them.

Up the Ladder

Not long ago, I bought some new stereo equipment for my house and I called Yaniv to come over to install it. He showed up in an immense truck and told me what he'd been doing for the past few years.

He'd become a construction foreman on a jobsite building condos. He was so good at reading instructions that he became a contractor. He was so good at that, investors hired him to build still bigger buildings and paid him a good chunk of the profits.

Now he's building large developments and gets an even bigger share of the startlingly large profits. If a unit costs $300,000 to build, it's not unusual for it to sell for $600,000 to $800,000. Of course, you have to factor in the cost of the land, permits and legal issues, advertising, and the time value of money. But all in all, the profits are consistently immense.

Yaniv, a 32-year-old who still gets a thrill out of his Ford truck, is well on his way to being in the top 1 percent and, after that, the top one-tenth of 1 percent.

Outstanding in Your Field

How did he do it? He reads instructions. Yaniv reads building plans very carefully, then he reads permit applications carefully, and soon a building is done.

Beyond that, he reads life's instructions carefully, too. People make a lot of money building condos in Los Angeles even in an economic slowdown, so Yaniv entered a field that leads to making money.

If he'd continued on as a bodyguard he would've had fun, but he never would've gotten rich. And here his experience proves the great advice of Warren E. Buffett: It's better to be medium-good in a great field than great in a medium field. There are some fields where a lot of money can be made, and real estate development is one of them.

Law is another one, at private firms. Medicine -- if you're a surgeon -- is another, and finance is the highest-paid one. Starting a restaurant isn't a moneymaking field. Teaching and writing, except in the rarest of cases, aren't either. Acting is almost never highly paid, and police work never is highly paid.

Making the Choice for Wealth

Please notice a pattern: the most interesting and psychologically rewarding work is rarely the best-paid. So choices must be made.

If your goal is to be in that top 1 percent of wealth-holders, you have to do what Yaniv did. Follow the instructions to where the money is, and to where it isn't.

There's nothing -- absolutely nothing -- about people who have money that's better than people who don't. But if you want it anyway, simply follow the instructions as to where to find it. It's not that complicated.

I wanna show you a Paypal history of my income from reading paid emails when I just started just so you know that I am not making things up. My first month. As you can see, the pay is really not much, $1, $3 but later when gathered together, these little amounts does help extending the budget.

Paypal allows you to transfer money to your bank account. They just have to verify your bank account. Once verified, you can start the money transfer. All transactions are safe. As you can see in my paypal history, my first bank transfer was $50.

Later I will discuss about getting paid to try offers and answering surveys. If you see some surveys online, don't just grab it because there are survey sites that just send bunch of advertisement and never pay. I had my share of all these stuffs. But, the Paid by your Action Sites do really exist. There are legitimate companies online that really pay and the registration is also FREE. You know I wouldn't sign up if there's pay. Here, the revenue is bigger compared to the PTR sites because some companies would ask for a $1 or $5 pay from you, for a "trial" period then sometimes you get instant $20, $60 and sometimes $ 110 revenue depending on the offer. I know it sound a little confusing for now but I will discuss more about this later.

A Paid to Read or PTR website is a site that pays you per email you read. How this program works? First, you register for an account. In most cases, registration is free. I have not seen a PTR site that ask for a registration fee yet. Once you become their member, they will send you some emails. In the email, you will be ask to "click" on a Paid Advertisement link. These links are links to their advertisers website. They have set timers like 20-45 seconds per email depending on the website. At the end of that time, your account will be credited. You actually have a choice as to whether or not, you want these emails to be sent to your email address or to the site inbox. In my case, I opened another email address just for PTR emails.

How much per email cost? Not much. The cost per email varies depending on the site. Most paid to read email companies pay from $0.01 up to $1.00 per e-mail that you read but like I said in my previous post, bunch of pennies makes a dollar and bunch of dollar makes a bigger amount of dollars. It helps pay the bills. Some companies have minimum payout ($1, $3, $5, $10, $25..etc). After you reach the minimum payout, you can request for payment. Some companies just pays you automatically once minimum balance is reach.

How can you be paid? Most PTR sites pay either by paypal or by checks. Some also pay by e-gold. Upon registration, you will be asked which method of payment you prefer and you will also be asked to check some categories or topics that interest you. It would be wise to check as many categories as you feel comfortable with as these would be the basis of the emails they will send. Few months ago, I found a site that talk about this PTR programs. I was skeptical at first but I gave it a try, signing up is free anyway. First, I signed up a paypal account because most of these sites pay either by check or by paypal. Aside from that, paypal registration is free so I thought, I have nothing to lose except my time of course but we all know all work requires time, perseverance and patience so I just tried it.

Later, I was surprissed that these PTR websites really pay. At least, those sites that I am a member of. I learned that there are other PTR sites that don't pay too. Then I found some paid by your action sites, paid to take surveys, paid to play, paid to try offers, later I learned about blogging and google adsense and affiliated to some websites. I will be discussing this things in my here. Visit often for updates. Registrations of all these sites I joined were all free. I was too scared to try websites that are asking for money for starters. Scared of scams. I was looking for a good income with zero capital. I know its hard but I don't have time to pay for something. In the first place, I was searching for money to extend our family budget. So I was thinking spending some for starters isn't really a good idea for me. If you look at the right side bar, I added a link to websites where you can check the company if it's in a scam list or not.

I created this blog to share a list of the sites I joined to earn extra income online. If you wanna earn a little income from home, part time or full time, check out these sites I will be listing.
